Age of admittance
Children from the age of 3 months to 5 years will be admitted.
Parents of children who need them must supply nappies and prepared bottled milk feeds.
These feeds should be made that morning according to the instructions on the packaging.
Hours of Opening
Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
All children must be collected from
the Nursery by 6pm.
Not only has your child had a long day, but also staff are entitled
to finish their day on time. Whilst we appreciate that delays can be unavoidable,
to cover our costs caring for children when parents are late, we reserve the right
to charge £10.00 for every 15 minutes, or part 15 minutes. At 6.30pm, the charge
rises to £15.00 for every 15 minutes.
Late collection charges must be paid on the
day to the members of staff who stayed late.
No Smoking
There is a policy of no smoking
anywhere on the Nursery premises.
Absences
It is important that the Nursery be notified
if your child is to be absent, this can be done by telephoning the Nursery.
Illness
If your child is ill, we ask that you do not bring him/her to Nursery. Please
inform us if your child has an infectious illness such as chickenpox so that we may
warn other parents. Please keep your child home for 24 hours following a bout of
sickness or diarrhoea, or when commencing antibiotics. The Nursery Health Policy
is displayed on the parents' notice board.
Collection
Children will not be released
to anyone unknown to the staff. Parents MUST inform the Officer in Charge immediately
they are unable to collect their child. The appointed person will then be required
to provide personal identification and a password.
Other information
When a child
starts Nursery, parents are asked to provide;
A change of clothing, including underwear
2/3 flannels
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Nappies if needed
Prepared bottle feeds if needed
Clothing should be clearly named to avoid confusion. Please provide above items in a cloth bag (not a plastic bag) We ask that if possible not to send your child to Nursery with any jewellery for the safety of your child and other children. If your child is unable to tie their own shoe laces, or in the process of learning, we would prefer them to wear velcros fastening shoes.
The Nursery regrets we cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal
clothing or articles.
We expect and encourage good behaviour and manners from our
children. It is our policy to distract and reason with a disruptive child. We also
request that you do not send children to Nursery with sweets, toy guns, weapons or
other unsuitable toys.
